Eggs Neptune was delish. Wife liked Spanish omellete. Wife wanted 4.5 stars because she didn't think coffee was great. Good service!
We didn’t even stay to order, the waitstaff was very rude the two waitresses in there acted annoyed that we were there. Our coffee cup was dirty... we left.
Excellent food and service
My granddaughter, my dog Annie, and I arrived right at closing on a Tuesday! They were awesome, served us anyway! Food was great! Service was outstanding! Thank you for making our day!
Great food, great - smiling service. French Onion soup is the best you will find. Anywhere.
Friendly service, tasty food, seems popular with locals
First time to Green House Cafe based on the reviews and we were disappointed! Ordered the chicken noodle soup and cherry chicken salad on croissant. The soup looked and tasted like it was from a can. The sandwich was tasteless; croissant was dry and the cherry chicken salad was bland. There were 3 other people in my group and their food was not good either. The crab patty on the crab burger has probably 10% of crab meat and that's being generous. The chips that came with the sandwich was an individual bag of Lay's chips... there's nothing remotely near home cooked at this place as some of the previous reviews indicated. Will not be back!
The eggs neptune was fantastic! Asked if there were onions and there weren't in the crab cake, awesome! However it came with green onions on top. Easy enough to scoop off.
Laura, our server, was AMAZING!!! Food was so delicious!
Such good food & good prices. The best part, though, was the extremely welcoming and accommodating staff. They were so incredibly kind and pulled an outdoor seating area out just for us to be able to eat with our dogs and it was something that they easily could have told us no for but they did it anyway. It was super appreciated and we loved the place! One of the cooks even came out to say hello to our dogs and it was very sweet.
Amazing Sunday brunch! Breakfast here is soooo good. Large portions, delicious, very filling. Extremely friendly servers. Very accommodating. Baked potato omelette tasted just like a baked potato, awesome! Western omelette was very good. Eggs Benedict were AMAZING! So pretty! Eggs Neptune had great seasoning. So impressed that each dish (10 total), was equally great. From the hash to the pancakes and everything in between, this is a must go to! Outdoor area is quaint and fun, clean and very cool! Lots of picture ops!
Liked the food. First time visitor. Mostly normal experience except for plastic silverware??
Great spot, great food, great service
Cute place for breakfast. We went on a Sunday and they only serve breakfast. My husband had the eggs Benedict, which he liked a lot. Price was very reasonable for Traverse City. It's actually one of the cheapest breakfast places we've been to.
Service was good. They're very liberal with butter. Sandwich toppings were fresh. Somehow there was a hair wrapped around one of our pickles.
Overpriced and generally lacking. The food claimed to be homemade but tasted like it had been bought at a supermarket. I expected more than a bag of lays potato chips for a $10 sandwich. The name of the restaurant is misleading as I didn’t find any healthy options on the menu. Very disappointing.
Inexpensive, great breakfast. Love the service
Good food. However, it's not amazing or very impressive, except the gluten free bun (not made here). Server was very nice and polite. She was attentive at first, but it took a while to even get soup, then our sandwiches. She didnt even bring our food. Didnt see her until we were done eating and she had our bill. So it's a good thing we need anything while we were actually eating.
Rude staff, in desperate need of an attitude adjustment for a specific waitress. When you walk up and ask if you have any tables, an appropriate response is not "yes we have a lot of tables look around".
Slow service and good food nothing special
Love this place. Food is always delicious. Staff is great.
What a great place to eat breakfast or lunch. Great service and awesome food. My recommendation is a Bacon and cheese omelette with an extra helping of bacon. Not on the side but in the omelette. With side a crispy hashbrowns makes the meal.
Great Food and very friendly staff.
First time here, good prices, great, tasty and fresh food! Our server was very attentive and fast.
Good service, loved the soup, and the French dip. I was NOT a fan of the chicken salad sandwich, but by no means was it "bad". Its very sweet and full of cinnamon, so you may want to ask for a sample before you dive it.
Clean restaurant. Very simple menu. If you are looking for an inexpensive breakfast place in downtown, Green house is the place to go. You have a choice of sitting inside or outside depending on available seating. Enjoy the hand drawn work of other guests hanged on the wall as you walk into the restaurant.
Make sure you're hungry! My wife and I could have shared a single dish - we both left food on our plates! The meals were delicious, however.
I love this place. They are always so good to me, given that I only get a half hour for lunch. Always great food and great service. If you are looking for an easy quick meal, this is a great place. If you work downtown, GREAT place to grab lunch on your lunch break!
Great food. Great service! I love the atmosphere here always friendly with smiles.
Cute and cozy! I had the homemade NE Clam Chowder and it was excellent. Service was courteous and prompt. So many things I want to try so I will be back!
Great old building atmosphere, lots of hand drawn art on brown paper on display (and some of it is very cool) good service, good food... If you are hungry, get the Hash Bash.A smidgen pricey, but you are in TC... I don't mind with the quality of the food and service. I'll be back for breakfast for sure next time I get the chance...
Great lunch and breakfast, lots of homemade foods.
We stopped in for breakfast on our way home from our trip to TC. The entire staff was probably the friendliest we have ever experienced. They were so nice and accommodating! Super cute clean place. The food was great. We will definitely be back next time we are in town!
My waitress was like talking to a brick wall, but the cook was funny and the food was good.
Our waitress was fabulous! (We overheard her say she was new.) We greatly appreciate you being open!
Black Bean Burger was delicious.
Hello breakfast at reasonable price. Great service!
Great place for a nice meal with many great fresh selections. Small deck in the back for out door seating was cozy and got to meet a couple nice locals ans swapped stories and got some good laughs. Service was excellent and food is superb! The half sandwich with choice of soup is a great deal for a great price. I gives the opportunity to try a few great items at a time.
There food was wonderful. Our office ordered lunch and everyone thought it was delicious. I highly recommend them
Lots of vegan/vegetarian options with gluten free buns too. Friendly service. Not crazy about bagged chips but it was nice not to smell the fried food smell.
This is a great little place for breakfast. Yesterday I had the potato omelet and the cinnamon raisin toast. Delicious! Also the staff is friendly and attentive.
Really good, homemade food that somehow still manages to fly under the food scene radar in TC. Consistently one of the best lunches on Front Street. Everything is made from scratch and the quality is excellent. My favorite is the Veggie Sandwich (I'm not a vegetarian) and you're a fool if you don't try their French Onion soup.
Uninspiring and limited breakfast menu, watered down coffee, nearly 20min wait time for our food (with only 3 tables being served), we were sat right next to a noisy beverage machine, server was without personality and didn't check in on us after we got our food. Only redeeming quality was the hash bash... Delicious!
Very pleasantly surprised by this little gem. Amazing bakery, great food. Was quite busy and crowded on the fall weekend of our visit. I really wish they served brunch further into the day on weekends. Try the muffins!
Great service. Blah food (especially for the price).
Great little place to grab breakfast. Loved the decor, the music, and our waitress was very attentive to us. Would definitely go back.
Great place for breakfast the original and Neptune Benedict are very good! Inside and outside seating available with perfect portion sizes. Nice waitstaff.
My wife and I went here for our first anniversary. We ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits, side of bacon, one pancake (which was huge), and the western omelette. Everything from the coffee to the food and the environment was unique and tasted great. Highly recommend!
Had breakfast here while visiting from out of town. The waitress had no trouble customizing my order to fit my restrictions and she did so with a smilebon her face. Great food, great service, good price. Will be back. 😁
Yesterday we stopped for lunch, sat out front and had a lovely meal. Sandwiches. Came back this morning for breakfast. We waited 55 minutes for our breakfasts: scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. When the food arrived, my eggs were too done on the outside but runny just under the “skin” and the bacon was fatty and undercooked. The toast was dry with a tiny circle of butter only near the edge. I couldn’t eat much of the food. Given the fact this meal was so poorly cooked and was so very long in coming, I can’t say we will return. Wait staff was great.
